Samantha Walsh
Board Member Co-founder and Chief Executive Officer, Hurricane Creek K9Samantha Walsh is a finance and operations professional with experience spanning corporate risk management, nonprofit leadership, and working dog operations. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Diplomacy and International Relations from Seton Hall University. She previously served in the National Office of Risk Management at RSM US LLP, where she supported enterprise risk initiatives and contributed to firmwide operational and compliance functions. Samantha retired from her role at RSM in 2025 following a successful career in finance and risk management. She also previously worked with KPMG, gaining experience in corporate operations, client service, and professional advisory environments.
Currently, Samantha is the Co-founder and Chief Executive Officer of Hurricane Creek K9, where she oversees business operations, strategic development, and organizational growth for the nationally recognized working dog and canine training organization. Her work bridges operational leadership with a strong commitment to animal welfare, professional training standards, and innovative rescue-to-resource initiatives that help transition high-drive rescue dogs into working and service roles.
Samantha is also actively involved in nonprofit dog rescue and advocacy efforts, with a focus on improving outcomes for working-breed and behaviorally complex dogs through structured training, rehabilitation, and responsible placement programs. Her combined background in finance, operations, and animal welfare provides a unique perspective on mission-driven leadership and organizational sustainability.
