Ashley Ahearn

Ashley Ahearn is an award-winning public media journalist who has covered natural resources and science for NPR and member stations for almost two decades.Her work has aired on the BBC, Morning Edition, All Things Considered, Marketplace, Science Friday and others. She has produced 4 successful podcast series for NPR in collaboration with Boise State Public Radio. Ashley lives in rural Washington state with her husband and dog where she herds cows for local ranchers and trains mustangs. She has a masters in science journalism from the Annenberg School at the University of Southern California and has completed reporting fellowships at the Knight Center at MIT, the Vermont Law School, the Metcalf Institute at the University of Rhode Island and the Institutes for Journalism and Natural Resources.
