• Sustainable, Equitable Economies

  Projects are focused on workers, their families and the communities in which they live, fostering industries with core values that reflect minimal environmental impact, while balancing sustainable solutions with economic necessity. Project may also work directly with fishing and farming communities to support them to develop and follow sound environmental stewardship and management practices.

• Healthy Planet & People

  Projects are working to make sure that biodiverse plants and animals, including humans, live in balanced ecosystems that provide the nutrients we need and a place to live, grow and thrive. Projects may also be focused on the intersection of environmental and public health, including environmental and social justice, including ensuring that people have access to clean air and drinking water, nutritional foods, and sanitary and health systems.

• Resilient Communities

  Projects working in this area are focused on communities, fostering low environmental impact infrastructure systems in both urban and rural communities, while also promoting integrated approaches to livelihood protection, climate resilience, and adaptive disaster mitigation.

• Secure Natural Resources

  Projects are working to ensure that policies and practices are in place to ensure that natural resources are not degraded or depleted, and that renewable natural resources (like sunlight, air, and wind) are economically leveraged prior to non-renewable resources.
